This process allows you to restore your BOXv1 to its factory state, completely eliminating any configurations or codes.


Please follow the steps below:

Note: If the blue LED is blinking fast (multiple times per second), the BOXv1 is already in configuration mode and you may ignore steps 3 and 4.


  1. Open the BOXv1 by removing its plastic enclosure;
  2. Locate the reset button on the board: the board has a single blue button about 1mm in diameter near the keypad connector;
  3. Press the reset button for at least 5 seconds. Let go as soon as the LED turns off;
  4. Wait a few seconds until the blue LED starts blinking fast (multiple times per second);
  5. Press the reset button again for at least 5 seconds. Let go as soon as the purple LED starts blinking;
  6. Wait a few seconds until the blue LED starts blinking fast (multiple times per second);
  7. Your BOXv1 has been reset to its factory state and is now in configuration mode. You may close the enclosure and proceed with the configuration process.


If you need to update the BOXv1's firmware but are unable to connect it to a WiFi network, please follow the following steps:

Note: This procedure will also restore your BOXv1 to its factory state.


  1. Open the BOXv1 by removing its plastic enclosure;
  2. Disconnect the power cable from the BOXv1;
  3. Connect an Ethernet cable to the BOXv1;
  4. Locate the reset button on the board: the board has a single blue button about 1mm in diameter near the keypad connector;
  5. Press the button and hold it pressed while you reconnect the power cable to the BOXv1. Stop pressing the button when the purple LED starts blinking;
  6. The BOXv1 will take up to a few minutes to return to configuration mode. During this time, the purple LED will be blinking, indicating the update is being downloaded;
  7. Wait some time until the blue LED start blinking fast (multiple times per second);
  8. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the BOXv1;
  9. Close the enclosure.
  10. Your BOXv1 is now updated to the latest firmware version. You may proceed with the configuration process.


Note: While it is possible to update the firmware via an Ethernet connection when performing the operation described above, the Ethernet interface is not available during normal use. To reconnect the BOXv1 to the Internet, please follow the necessary steps in the configuration process.
