Requesting Your Homeit API Key

At this time, Homeit issues API keys manually. To obtain one, simply send an email request to support@homeit.io. This process ensures that every key is scoped correctly and linked to a verified account.

How to Request

  1. Compose an email to support@homeit.io with the subject line: API Key Request – <Your Company Name>.

  2. In the body, please include:

    • Your Homeit account email (the one you use to log in)

    • Intended use case (e.g., PMS integration, custom automation, reporting)

  3. Click Send. Our support team will reply within 1–2 business days with your credentials.

What You’ll Receive

  • Your unique API key

  • A link to our API documentation if you're building a custom integration

Why Manual Issuance?

We’re actively building a self-service developer portal. In the meantime, manual provisioning allows us to:

  1. Validate ownership of each account before issuing credentials.

  2. Scope permissions to match your use case.

  3. Provide hands-on onboarding so your integration succeeds on the first try.
